Rochester Auto Show 2024: Info to know before you go


ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Start your engines — the Rochester Auto Show is back at the Floreano Convention Center this week!

Several manufacturers such as Chevrolet, Hyundai, and Ford will be displaying the current and future cars, trucks, hybrids, and electric vehicles, among other attractions.

If you’re a car enthusiast and are itching to drive on over to the auto show, here is what you need to know before you go:

Sneak Preview

If you’re still on the fence about whether or not you want to go to the event, the organizers will hold a sneak preview of the event.

The sneak preview will be a fundraiser for children’s organizations in Rochester where you can catch a glimpse of the vehicles before the show. There will also be food and an open bar available.

This show will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, between 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $150. More information about buying tickets to the sneak preview can be found by clicking here.

Dates and Location

As mentioned above, the Auto Show will be held at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center, which is located on Main Street. It will start on Thursday, February 29, and will end on Sunday, March 3.

Both Thursday and Friday’s shows will be from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday’s show will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday’s show will go from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tickets and Attendance

Tickets for the show can be purchased through the Auto Show’s website. Each ticket you purchase is good for all the days of the show.

General admission into the show is $11.85, but tickets are $8.85 for active military members, veterans, and seniors 65 years and older. Tickets for children between five and 12 years old are $5.85. Children under five get tickets for free.

Ahead of the Total Solar Eclipse in April, the organizers of the Auto Show announced that they are offering a free pair of eclipse glasses for the first 10,000 attendees.

What to expect

Tons of major car companies will be showcasing new and upcoming vehicles at the Auto Show. These include Acura, Chrysler, GMC, Honda, and Kia, among others. A full list of manufacturers participating in the show can be found here.

Rochester Area Ford Dealers announced they are donating a new Ford Transit van to Endless Highway, Inc., a nonprofit organization aiming at giving children and adults who use mobility devices the opportunity to take part in sports, recreation, and the arts.

The show’s website lists three guests. The Monroe County DMV and the New York State Police will be at the auto show, as well as Subaru Loves Pets. Subaru Loves Pets is an initiative run by the auto company that aims to host adoption events across the country to find sheltered animals a home.

The Auto Show is also hosting several exhibitors this year, such as 3rd ROC Solar, Monroe Community College’s Auto Tech Program, the Rochester Corvette Club, and Greater Rochester Clean Cities. A full list of exhibitors can be found here.
