He is one of the top environmental insurance agents in the North Jersey Industrial market, with more than 20 years of experience involving a breadth of insurances. Much of his efforts are spent on remediation and development of last-mile assets, most of which are environmentally challenged. He works to identify sites, and then quantify/transfer contractually assumed or created environmental liabilities culminating from the area.


Her life before law school (chemical engineering degree from Notre Dame, six years at a top energy company) paved the way to her becoming one of the top environmental attorneys in the state. She handles a broad range of complex environmental litigation and land use matters in state and federal court — with litigation experience that spans the full spectrum of environmental law, including Superfund, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Clean Water Act and the New Jersey Spill Act.


Third-generation leader of company that has evolved from a two-man field office concentrating on surveying and civil engineering to a multidisciplinary national engineering firm providing the design and construction management of roadways and bridges, extensive water/wastewater treatment, sanitary and storm sewer projects, environmental science and a specialized division performing marine/waterfront/underwater engineering and inspection. The fourth generation (Kristen Boswell) is coming, too.

Brilliant, a graduate of Rutgers University, is a frequent lecturer on site remediation in the state and an original member of the New Jersey Site Remediation Professional Licensing Board.


Cantor, a former assistant commissioner and, later, chief adviser to the commissioner of the Department of Environmental Protection, heads NJBIA’s advocacy efforts on environmental and energy matters affecting the business community. A graduate of New York Law School, Cantor began his career working at the state’s Office of Legislative Services as senior counsel in the Environment, Energy & Natural Resources section.


Founded in 1991, EAI has earned a reputation as a full-service environmental management firm, providing turn-key contracting and consulting solutions for all environmental needs. EAI, directly for large-scale developers, homebuilders, general contractors, architecture/engineering firms and government agencies, has become a national leader in the installation of gas vapor barriers, sub-slab venting systems and monitoring systems for redevelopments on landfills and brownfield sites.


Chibani is a senior hydraulic and system design engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the field of environmental engineering. He has directed and managed a variety of projects involving solid waste, hazardous waste, underground storage tanks, water supply, wastewater collection and treatment, bioremediation, maritime pollution, environmental impact statements and site planning. Chibani earned his civil engineering degree in his native Morocco, earned a master’s at Rutgers and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois.


Longtime leader of consulting, engineering, environmental and technical services company that has become a national power in the sector. T&M, with a team of more than 350 professionals, has delivered proven results for a broad spectrum of public and private clients for more than 55 years. Dahms is the current president of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce and on the board of his alma mater, New Jersey Institute of Technology.


Donovan devotes her practice to environmental law and complex litigation with an emphasis on the defense of environmental property damage and toxic tort claims. She is also experienced in working on related insurance coverage matters. Hogan represents and counsels developers, redevelopers, manufacturers, commercial entities and highly-regulated service businesses in all aspects of environmental law and litigation. He has been at the forefront of site remediation issues in New Jersey for more than two decades.


He not only is president of the environmental and contracting services firm, but he also is a senior-level Certified Hazardous Materials Manager with extensive experience in environmental remediation, regulatory compliance, health and safety and emergency response. A graduate of Rutgers, he is an active member of numerous environmental organizations and is a frequent panelist at industry events.


A nationally renowned environmental lawyer, he concentrates his practice on the impact of environmental laws on transactions and real property in New Jersey and around the nation. He has extensive experience in the cleanup and redevelopment of contaminated properties, including the management and resolution of related issues and disputes. He is a past president of the American College of Environmental Lawyers.


As the president of PennJersey Environmental Consulting since 2012, Ferguson leverages his nearly 40 years of experience and his credentials as a Licensed Site Remediation Professional to help clients manage their environmental needs, especially site assessment and remediation. He combines regulatory knowledge, remediation experience and strategic vision to handle complex and high-profile cases, applying the most current scientific principles in contaminant fate and transport. He is committed to acting as an advocate for his clients while satisfying the myriad regulatory and technical issues that can arise.


Has more than 40 years of experience on major real estate developments in New Jersey and around the world. He specializes in complex urban and brownfield redevelopment projects, community planning and redevelopment, stadium/arena development and waterfront restoration. Under Gockel’s leadership, Langan has grown fivefold in size, from 250 people to over 1,500, and from seven offices to more than 35 since 2003.


Leaders of one of the top environmental law practice groups in the state. Gross, the chair, handles all aspects of New Jersey and federal environmental law, including permitting and litigation, appears before planning and zoning boards and has handled complex construction litigation matters. Dalton uses his background in environmental sciences to assists business and individual clients in state and federal environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, solid and hazardous waste remediation and redevelopment.


She is new to the BPU — and being president of the BPU. But she’s not new to the organization. She rose to chief of staff under the late President Joe Fiordaliso, helping to spearhead Gov. Phil Murphy’s clean energy agenda. In that role, she worked on several key initiatives, including the 2019 Energy Master Plan, implementation of the 2018 Clean Energy Act and development of the state’s electric vehicle incentive program.


Since 2016, he has been the executive director of the Chemistry Council of New Jersey, which represents the interests of more than 50 manufacturers and 45 firms in the business of chemistry. His experience in the sector goes back four decades, including more than two decades at the Department of Environmental Protection (overseeing many issues involving water supply) and seven years at the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust, where he managed a portfolio of loans and investments in excess of $4 billion.


Johnson, who has spent more than four decades at Dewberry, serving in a wide variety of roles, now oversees operations of the the firm’s seven New Jersey and Pennsylvania business units. He has been involved in a wide range of projects, including as project manager, for the feasibility assessment and Environmental Impact Statement preparation, final design and construction services for the $900 million I-295/I-76/Route 42 Direct Connection.

She is on the front line of policy and initiatives involving all aspects of Gov. Phil Murphy’s push for a clean energy future — adeptly explaining positions and motives involving offshore wind, electrification and electric vehicles, among other areas. She has nearly two decades of experience in policy development and public service, centered on creating community-led solutions to create healthy, safe, energy efficient and decarbonized housing.


He represents clients across many industries — including oil, chemical, financial services, manufacturing, real estate and solar development industries. An experienced trial attorney in federal and state courts, Kurzweil handles cases under CERCLA (Superfund) and the New Jersey Spill Compensation and Control Act affecting single- or multiparty sites, and those involving groundwater, public and private water supplies, large river systems, sediments and other environmental media. A frequent lecturer on environmental topics, Kurzweil often speaks on New Jersey’s Natural Resource Damages Program, environmental law and trial topics.


The impact of his office cannot be overstated — and certainly was shown earlier this month when the DEP announced the filing of the Advanced Clean Cars II rule (for adoption Dec. 18), which will require vehicle manufacturers to make zero-emission vehicles in an increasing percentage of their new light-duty vehicle sales beginning in model year 2027, ramping up to 100% by 2035. So much of business goes through the DEP — and LaTourette said his goal is to be helpful, not harmful.
