Rosters Unveiled for Exhibition Versus USA Basketball Women’s National Team


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The USA Basketball Women’s National Team announced the rosters for its exhibition games against the University of Tennessee (Nov. 5) and Duke University (Nov. 12), along with the training camp roster (Nov. 7-9, Atlanta) on Thursday.

Duke’s Nov. 12 matchup against the USA Basketball Women’s National Team is slated to tipoff at noon ET and will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra, with a tape-delayed presentation on ACC Network at 8 p.m. ET. All games are available on the ESPN App.

Five-time Olympic champion Diana Taurasi headlines the group and is one of seven players who will appear in both exhibition games. Kahleah Copper, Allisha Gray, Brittney Griner, Rhyne Howard, Sabrina Ionescu and Azurá Stevens will also be on both rosters.

In total, seven Olympians will participate between the two games and training camp including Ariel Atkins (2021), Gray (2021, 3×3), Griner (2021, 2016), Angel McCoughtry (2016, 2012), Kelsey Plum (2021, 3×3), Taurasi (2021, 2016, 2012, 2008, 2004) and Jackie Young (2021, 3×3).

Additionally, Atkins, Copper, Ionescu, Betnijah Laney and Plum were members of the 2022 USA Women’s World Cup Team that won the gold medal in Sydney last fall.

The list of participating athletes is rounded out by Aliyah Boston, Dearica Hamby, Natasha Howard and Arike Ogunbowale, all of whom have previous USA Basketball experience.

The Blue Devils will take on the USA Basketball Women’s National Team for just the second time overall and first since 1999, when USA Basketball defeated Duke 71-45 in Durham.
