City Arts Center in Round Rock is calling for art to display in a visual exhibit themed “Blossoms and Beyond: A virtual flower and garden show.”
Selected art will be on digital display on digital screens in the Art Center’s windows, making the works visible from Main Street in Round Rock from May 17 until July 8. The center is at 231 East Main.
The call for art is open to all. Works should highlight the beauty of area gardens, blooming plants, patio gardens and favorite outdoor spots. Beginners and seasoned artists of all ages can enter with any form of visual art about the beauty of springtime.
The deadline is coming soon — May 7. For more information, submittable form and artist agreement, jotform.com/cityofroundrock/call-for-entries-blossomsandbeyond.

WCAG meeting
Richard Windberg is the guest speaker at the Williamson County Art Guild’s May 7 meeting. He will speak about The Windberg Legacy. The Windberg Art Center & Gallery offers original artwork by Dalhart Windberg at 5010 Airport Road.
Monthly WCAG meetings are held at the Georgetown Public Library, second floor, from 6:30-8 p.m. Meet and greet begins at 6:15 p.m.
Macro images
“Texas Bluebonnets” are disappearing from Mulligan’s Gallery, and the “Macro Images” display begins on May 6 at 150 Dove Hollow Trail in Georgetown.
Macro Images provides close-up photos revealing details not readily evident by a casual glance. The close-up lens captures a clarity, allowing the eye to spend time exploring the intricacies of an image.
The images featured in the macro theme include JoAnn Reiter’s “Purple Iris,” Glenn Rudd’s “Macaw Trio”, Wes Odell’s “Dusty Old Gears at Barron Woolen Mills” and Ellen Greeney’s “Four Raindrops.”
These images will remain on display until June 17.
Sonic Vision
Artworks both 2D and 3D created by talented area artists are coming to City Arts Center. The theme “Sonic Vision” inspires life events around music and the soundtrack of your life from May 8 until July 3 at 231 East Main Street in Round Rock.
Congrats
Lilly Ramphal Naley, M.D., is WCAG’s Artist of the Month. Her work is inspired by landscapes, children and animals in natural settings. She believes that art heals the human heart and soul. See her work at the WCAG gallery, 708 South Rock Street in Georgetown.
