This week, Met Police investigators conducted a thorough investigation into allegations of prior sex offenses against Russell Brand.

Scotland Yard said a man in his 40s, thought to be Brand, was questioned on Thursday at a south London police station about three ‘non-recent’ sexual offenses.

The Metropolitan Police interrogated Brand, 48, under caution, and the force will continue to investigate, according to The Sunday Times.

The Met had urged prospective victims to come forward after the maverick comic faced sexual assault and rape allegations from four women, which were disclosed in an investigation by the same newspaper and Channel 4 Dispatches program.

Scotland Yard announced in September that it was investigating various complaints of sexual assault after alleged victims from London and other parts of the UK contacted police.

‘A man in his forties attended a police station in south London on Thursday, 16 November 2023,’ a Met Police spokeswoman revealed to MailOnline today. He was interviewed under caution by detectives in relation to three non-recent sexual offences. Enquiries continue.

The BBC announced two fresh complaints against the comedian and actor on Wednesday, 24 hours before he was questioned by cops, saying they were ‘not of a serious sexual nature’ after the channel opened an investigation into his behavior.

This was on top of three earlier complaints to the BBC before he was charged with rape and sexual abuse.

Brand has denied rape and sexual assault charges, claiming that his relationships were ‘always consensual’.

The claims against Brand that the Met is investigating are said to be distinct from those made by four women in September.

Between 2006 and 2013, at the height of his career, the comedian was accused of violent and predatory behavior, including one rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse.
