According to express.co.uk, Russia is using Prince William’s visit to Poland to escalate tensions with the West.

Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, cited an article about the historic visit to imply that British troops supported Ukrainians and actively engaged in the fighting.

Taking advantage of Prince William’s trip to Poland, Zakharova cited a Tatler magazine online article that described William visiting “British and Polish troops involved in the conflict in Ukraine.”

She stated that this statement “completely dispels any doubts, if anyone has them, regarding the involvement of Britain and Poland.”

In a statement regarding William’s visit, Kensington Palace stated that he was meeting with Ukrainians who were not involved in the fighting.
