Rylan Clark startled This Morning co-host Josie Gibson with a lighthearted remark while discussing her recent royal visit with a guest.

With his bold question, the vivacious presenter, who returned to the head of the ITV afternoon program for a week, left Josie stunned.

Deirdre Roberts, the resident agony aunt, was also in the studio to offer guidance in the ‘Deirdre’s Relationship Clinic’ phone-in segment.

Before delving into the viewers’ love-related queries, they wanted to hear about Deirdre’s special occasion at Windsor Castle, when she earned her MBE from Prince Charles for her excellent services to charity and mental health. During an investiture ceremony, the Prince praised her devotion and community achievements.

Rylan was quick to express his congrats, which Josie swiftly returned before Rylan said, “You deserve this so much!” Deirdre had brought in her medal for the pair to have a look at, with Rylan exclaiming it was “beautiful” with Josie adding: “Isn’t it lovely?”

Rylan went on to laud Deidre, 78, saying, “Honestly Deirdre, it’s a long time coming, in my opinion. I’m so glad you’ve been recognised like that.” But it was his following statements that caught everyone off guard – and had those at home laughing.

“I’ve gotta ask, though – did you rob anything?” he replied plainly. Deirdre was taken startled by his remark, and she said, “Did I what?!” Deirdre tried to move on from the insult as Josie burst out laughing. “We are planning to go back,” she remarked, to which Rylan answered, “Well, that’s why she’s not telling us!”
