One member of the very popular music group S Club 7, Paul Cattermole, has died, the group said.
In a shocking statement on Friday, the band said, “We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.”
“We will all miss him so much,” they say next. We ask that you give his family and the band some space at this time.”
At this point, we don’t know what caused Paul’s death, but local news says that there were “no suspicious circumstances” around his death. Paul was just taken a picture of this week while he was out for a walk and seemed to be in good health.
S Club 7 was an English pop group made up of Cattermole, Jon Lee, Tina Barrett, Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O’Meara, and Rachel Stevens. Simon Fuller put them together in 1998.
“S Club Party” and “Bring It All Back” were two of the group’s four UK #1 singles. Their song “Never Had a Dream Come True” made it into the Top 10 in the U.S.
Paul was going to be a part of S Club 7’s upcoming reunion tour, which was also going to mark the group’s 25th anniversary.
