In recent years, Sabrina Carpenter has become renowned for being a pop star who isn’t afraid to embrace her sexuality, with the 25-year-old singer being among the first to poke fun at how “vulgar” she can be.
And the lyrics she penned for her BBC Live Lounge performance last year ended up being so x-rated that the BBC opted to edit them out of the final recording.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan earlier this year, Sabrina acknowledged the fact that her “Nonsense” tradition was making people think of her in a certain kind of way, sharing: “It’s funny too, writing the outros, because I feel like I’ve learned a lot more about sexuality through writing those than people think.”
Her latest album, Short n’ Sweet, released in August, includes several songs full of innuendos, including “Bed Chem,” which is widely believed to be about her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Barry Keoghan.
But in a new interview with Time, Sabrina has answered that question — and insisted that it really isn’t a big deal because her family are just in awe of her staggering success.
