Saints and Scholars bartender dies in car crash

Becky Michaud, 44, a Saints and Scholars bartender of over 10 years, died on Feb. 15.

When Snoqualmie Fire Department crews arrived at the scene of the single-car accident near North Bend’s Tollgate Farm Park, Michaud’s car was on its side and fully engulfed in flames. Crews extinguished the fire before the scene was handed over to police for investigation, according to the Snoqualmie Fire Blotter.

“Becky was more than a part of our staff; she was a cherished friend and integral part of our lives and this amazing community,” Saints and Scholars co-owner Adrian Webb wrote. “Her presence meant so much to us, and she will be dearly missed.”

Through the years, Michaud planned pub events ranging from Adult Prom Night to Karaoke Night and brought in local craft vendors to display their work, reflecting her passion for community and bringing people together, according to social media posts.

“When Becky was behind the bar, you knew you’d be met with a warm smile and a generous pour, ” Saints and Scholars co-owner Amanda Stoffel wrote. “Her kind spirit touched everyone who walked through our doors. She was always there for us, and now it’s our turn to be there for her family.”

A GoFundMe benefiting Michaud’s family, organized by the Saints and Scholars owners, has received 163 donations totaling $17,000 as of March 1.

A service and celebration of Michaud’s life is scheduled for 2 p.m. March 8 at Snoqualmie Valley Alliance Church, 36017 SE Fish Hatchery Road.
