NEW DELHI: Sam Altman has been appointed to lead Microsoft‘s new in-house artificial intelligence team, following his departure from OpenAI last week. Greg Brockman, also a co-founder and board member at OpenAI who left the company recently, will be joining Altman at Microsoft.
In a LinkedIn post on Monday, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella expressed the company’s commitment to supporting Altman and Brockman, stating that they will swiftly provide the necessary resources for their success.
Nadella reassured that Microsoft remains dedicated to its partnership with OpenAI and is confident in its product roadmap, innovation capabilities, and ongoing support for customers and partners, as highlighted during Microsoft Ignite.
“We remain committed to our partnership with OpenAI and have confidence in our product roadmap, our ability to continue to innovate with everything we announced at Microsoft Ignite, and in continuing to support our customers and partners,” Nadella said in the post.
