San Antonio unveils new kitchen to combat food insecurity, serving 431 meals daily


SAN ANTONIO – A new kitchen has opened up to help fight the battle with food insecurity on the West Side.

To help celebrate, there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday. The new kitchen will offer 431 meals a day to children and seniors.

The new kitchen is located at the Madonna Center off Castroville Rd.

The $250,000 project was fully funded by the San Antonio Area Foundation John L. Santikos Fund.
