SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTGS) — Savannah will host the Every Woman’s Marathon in November of this year.
The Every Woman’s Marathon will be in partnership with Milk and Visit Savannah with the goal of promoting nutrition and empowering women. The race will begin on Bay Street at 9 a.m., and runners will be out of the Historic District by 10 a.m.

“This is a marathon that is the first of its type in its country. This is a meaningful time for the marathon, and it will have limited disruption to the business on the route,” said Savannah Mayor Van Johnson.
This announcement comes after the city took a hiatus from hosting the Rock-and-Roll Marathon two years ago.
