Schuylkill Technology Center receives donation

The Schuylkill Technology Center has received a $6,250 donation to cover the cost of equipment and supplies for the school’s welding and diesel programs.

Mike Narcavage, Senior Community and Government Affairs Manager from Southwestern Energy and Sarah Johnson, Business Development from Costy’s Energy Services presented a check to STC Assistant Director Chris Groody.

“Southwestern Energy believes technical education is the key to a thriving economy, this is why the company supports programs at high school technology centers in and around its operating area,” Narcavage said.

Southwestern Energy partnered with one of its contractors, Costy’s Energy Services, to raise industry funds to help support these technical education programs, noting that graduates of these programs will fill the important jobs that will fuel the local economy.
