Science & Nature Conference planned May 7 in Marshall

MARSHALL — The Southwest West Central Service Cooperative will host its 30th annual Science and Nature Conference May 7, at Southwest Minnesota State University, Marshall.

The event is open to students in kindergarten through eighth grade, and provides an opportunity for kids to nurture their inner scientist.

The Science and Nature Conference provides inspiration for kids to develop skills needed to understand the world around them. They can meet zoo animals, learn about bugs and snakes, play with polymers, create circuits, check out a virtual sandbox or cadaver, maybe even learn about aviation, upcycling or Landsat’s.

These hands-on learning sessions give kids a chance to explore science in a whole new way.
