The Scream revival is a roaring success. The sixth chapter of a popular franchise earned $44.5 million in its first weekend, surpassing all of its predecessors. Scream VI dominated the box office, surpassing Creed III’s outstanding second week ($27.1 million) by a wide margin. It is expected to surpass the original film’s unadjusted gross of $103 million. With a 75 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a B+ Cinemascore, it appears that Scream VI will continue its winning streak.
