Syracuse, N.Y. — The 2023-24 girls basketball season starts this week and Section III teams will be looking to begin their journey to the playoffs on a strong note.

The addition of a sixth class has shaken things up and many teams will have to adjust to stiffer competition, especially during the sectional playoffs.
