In the midst of her developing affair with Benny Blanco, Selena Gomez revealed an important update about her job and retirement plans.

Selena Gomez has been secretly releasing tunes from her upcoming album, which will be released this year as a follow-up to 2020’s Rare. However, the singer and actor seemed to be more focused on her time on film than in the studio.

On an unreleased episode of the Smartless podcast with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, Gomez discussed finding a niche in the entertainment industry “to just settle on.”

She mentioned that she had done acting and singing, and that she is now the CEO of her own cosmetics line, Rare Beauty. Despite the fact that she “feel[s] like I have one more album in me,” she told the hosts that in an ideal world, she “would probably choose acting.”

As the group applauded her musical ability and remarked that she doesn’t have to choose one lane, Gomez said, “You’re right, but I am going to want to chill because I’m tired.”

The Calm Down singer, who revealed her relationship with music producer Benny Blanco earlier this month, recently uploaded a romantic selfie of the two of them on her Instagram Story on Saturday, capping out 2023 as a pair.
