Selma artist to present ‘Quilt of Time’ exhibition in November

Selma artist Anne Strand will present her new exhibition “The Quilt of Time” at the Harmony Club, with a reception scheduled for Nov. 23.

“‘The Quilt of Time’ weaves together elements of memory, community, and artistic vision, creating a tapestry that celebrates both individual creativity and collective experience,” said a press release from Pride Forney on Thursday. “This exhibition represents not just an artistic showcase, but a gift to the community that continues to inspire and nurture creative expression.”

The exhibition will also raise money for a homeless shelter.

“The show demonstrates Strand’s commitment to community engagement through art, featuring a special donation of her painting “Selma Sunrise” to the Selma Library and a pledge to contribute 10% of all sales to the Winston Williams homeless shelter,” Forney said.
