Many automakers present at SEMA 2024
Many automakers use the SEMA 2024 show every year to present their latest innovations in automotive parts and accessories.
Stellantis, under the Mopar banner, unveiled the Plymouth GTX Electromod Concept. Although large displacement engines are still ubiquitous, the automotive giant is showcasing the fruit of its electrification research. Thanks to its electric motor, this ultramodern GTX produces 335 horsepower and has a range of 400 kilometres. Everything is there—except the sound of the V8 engine of yesteryear.
Nissan has unveiled the Frontier Project Tailgater. Based on a Pro-4X version, this creation is the perfect way to organize a barbecue and feast off the beaten track. For the first time, a reinvented version of the new Kicks 2025 also appeared.
As for Kia, the EV9 ADVNTR and PV5 WKNDR were unveiled. These two concepts illustrate the current craze for vehicles with an adventurous flavour while remaining within the world of electric vehicles.
Toyota’s extensive booth featured several original prototype vehicles. Among them was the 4Runner TRD Surf. Based on the most recent generation of the 4Runner, this reinterpretation of Toyota’s SUV reminds us that this model was once offered as a convertible.
A host of stars at SEMA 2024
To attract visitors to their booths, companies use their imagination. Some even go so far as to invite special guests. Throughout the first day of the SEMA 2024 event, hundreds of people were able to get a photo with their idol or an autograph. Personalities from the automotive world included Richard Petty, Mike Hall, Leah Pruett and Don Garlits.
More than 20,000 steps later, the day draws to a close before the adventure resumes tomorrow.
