GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Two Grand Rapids businesses are partnering with John Ball Zoo to raise money for wildlife conservation, according to a news release.
As a part of Giving Tuesday (Nov. 28), Lantern Coffee Bar & Lounge and Donkey Taqueria will be donating portions of purchases made by patrons, organizers said.
From Nov. 24 to Nov. 26, a percentage of each purchase made at Lantern Coffee will go towards the zoo’s wildlife conservation efforts.
On Nov. 28 at Donkey Taqueria, the restaurant will donate $2 for every purchase of a Taco Al Pastor or Taco De Hongos.
Those who wish to donate but cannot make it to either establishment can visit the zoo’s website or text ZOO to 99192. Donations of any amount are accepted.
“John Ball Zoo is incredibly grateful for the community’s support, and the work we do to support wildlife conservation, educational opportunities and economic impact in Grand Rapids and beyond,” John Ball Zoo Chief Advancement Officer Gina Schulz said in a statement. “Donations made on Giving Tuesday, and year-round, help create a better world for both animals and people.”
