The music video for “Perro Fiel” by Shakira and Nicky Jam has now been watched 1 billion times on YouTube, six years after it was first uploaded.

The video streaming site says that this is Shakira and Nicky Jam’s seventh time being a lead artist, featured artist, or partner in a Billion Views Club video.

The Colombian star and the reggaetón singer worked together on the song for the first time. It came out in 2017. Sharika’s album El Dorado had the number one spot on the Top Latin Albums chart for five weeks. The song “Perro Fiel” is from that album. The song got to No. 6 on the Hot Latin Songs list, which was its best spot.

Most recently, both artists got a lot of attention at Miami Billboard Latin Music Week 2023. Two episodes of Nicky Jam’s popular Some of the guests on The Rock Star Show were Ivy Queen and Jess Ortiz Paz, lead singer of Fuerza Regida.
