After her messy breakup with Gerard Pique, the Colombian singer wore a beautiful all-black leather mini dress to the biggest Latin music festival in the world. This showed that she was happy to be single.

During a talk at the event, the singer talked about her work and what inspires her to write songs.

The 46-year-old singer told Billboard that after a hard time in her life, she is now at her most creative.

“There have been times when they have to drag me with a crane to the studio. You fight with your art, everyone does. But now I’m in a honeymoon phase with making music and with my career. I’m in love with what I do.”

The singer of Waka Waka, who was recently given the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs, said that the most important thing for artists is to connect with their fans.

She also said, “Age doesn’t matter, the genre doesn’t matter, the condition doesn’t matter, the language doesn’t matter. What matters is that if an artist connects with their audience, through music.”

The singer of “Hips Don’t Lie” said that music helps her get through hard times.

“Writing music helps me feel better. When I’m feeling bad, I write the most. “When life gives me a blow, I feel stronger,” she said.

Pique and Shakira broke up in 2022 because she thought he was cheating on her.

The two boys, Milan and Sasha, belong to both of them.
