Sienna Miller has returned to the red carpet, armed with a bright new shade that hairstylists are calling “modern boho blonde”. The model and actress attended the Chloé spring/summer 2025 show during Paris Fashion Week, showcasing a gilded blonde colour and elegant-meets-effortless cut.
“The return of boho fashion has been huge this year and, just like the hair in the late 2000s, I wanted to create a skinny light weave. It’s highlights on a diet,” says Miller’s colourist and blonde specialist Harriet Elizabeth Muldoon. “Instead of chunky lights, it’s a softer weave, which I layered with a smudge to give the root a softer blend. This gives dimension compared to the frame and ends, which is the modern twist.”
She also opted for the coveted ‘Scandi’ hairline, a colour trend that consists of fine, brightening highlights around the perimeter of the face for the ultimate natural Scandinavian blonde. To finish the look, she did a backwash balayage (a colouring technique that involves applying dye to damp hair instead of dry) to refresh Miller’s golden lengths. Her soft, layered cut was courtesy of Larry King.
The model’s fashion ensemble was similarly effortless; she paired an airy pale-blue jacket with a pair of floor-grazing, blush-pink suede trousers. Accessories also took centre stage, with oversized seventies-style glasses, layered necklaces and statement bracelets.
Miller isn’t the only blonde making headlines for exceptional hair this fashion season. Kendall Jenner became the latest star to switch out her signature brunette lengths for September, debuting an illuminated golden-hour blonde colour earlier this month. While Sienna’s latest shade is a bright, near-platinum tone, Jenner’s new tresses are a deep, warm honey colour not too dissimilar to the tint cast by the late afternoon sun. She wears her fresh hue in a statement bell-bottom bob.
