Simon Rimmer, who hosts Sunday Brunch, lost his “hero” father in a terrible way.

He shared the bad news on Instagram along with a picture of himself and his late father.

In the picture, he was cuddling up to his father with love.

In the post’s description, Rimmer wrote, “It is with great sadness that I have to announce the death of my hero, my dad Peter.”

Metro UK says that his friends and fans have sent their thoughts about the sad death of the TV star’s father.

“Oh I am sorry Simon. Sending you love,” said singer Jassie Ware. I’m sending you love.”

“So sorry for your loss Simon … sending you and your family loads of love,” reality star Vicky Pattison wrote that she loved you and her family a lot.

Charlotte Hawkins, who reads the news on Good Morning Britain, said, “Oh Simon! I am sorry to hear that. Sending love & a huge hug to you.”

Rimmer said that his fight with his health is the hardest thing he’s had to do in his life so far.

Earlier, in an interview with The Mind Map, a mental health business, he talked about when he was a kid and discovered that his father had cancer.

“At 9 years old, I was told that my father has cancer and he had very little chance of survival – he’s now 84 and still going strong.”

He praised his father by saying that he was a very strong person.

He also said, “my father’s positive attitude and sharp mind had always stuck with me.”
