In a major advancement for Sinclair Inc., its four nationally distributed digital multicast networks are being brought to viewers in some of the nation’s biggest DMAs for the first time,
It’s thanks to agreements just announced by the Baltimore-based media company and its new partner, Paramount Global.
The network distribution agreements are between Sinclair and CBS Television Stations, and they bring Sinclair’s free over-the-air networks Comet, CHARGE!, TBD. and The Nest to additional CBS affiliates beginning this week.
As a result, Comet, which features Science Fiction and Fantasy programming, can now be found on WCBS-2.5 in New York and on KPIX-5.5 in San Francisco.
Concurrently, police procedural drama-focused CHARGE! is now available to viewers in Los Angeles on KCAL-9.3, in Chicago on WBBM-2.5 and in Philadelphia on KYW-3.5.
The TBD. diginet, which offers second-run situation comedies, is now in place in South Florida on WBFS-33.6 in Miami, in Philadelphia on WPSG-57.2 and in San Francisco on KPYX-44.2.
Lastly, newly launched diginet The Nest, with shows dedicated to home improvement, true-crime, factual reality series, and celebrity driven family shows, is now on KCAL-9.2 in Los Angeles and on KPYX-44.4 in San Francisco.
