Single-car crash leaves one dead in Howard County

A man died in a single-car crash in Ellicott City Saturday morning.According to police, at around 9:44 a.m., a 2015 Toyota Venza was traveling southbound in the 6100 block of Waterloo Road when it left the roadway and struck a tree.The driver and only occupant in the car, an adult male, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police believe the victim may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the collision.The incident is still under investigation.
