Novak Djokovic is through to the final of the ATP Finals, where he will be looking for his seventh ATP Finals crown, surpassing Roger Federer, after defeating Carlos Alcaraz 6-3, 6-2 in one hour and 30 minutes.

For his part, Jannik Sinner beat the third-best racket of the circuit, Daniil Medvedev, after a score of 6-3, 6-7 (4) and 6-1 in two hours and 25 minutes. The Italian plays in Turin with the public factor in his favour and at 22 years of age wants to put the finishing touch to a dream week in the capital of Piedmont.

While the number four on the tour is unbeaten in the tournament going into the final, Djokovic suffered a defeat at the hands of his opponent on Sunday. The final will be a rematch of one of the three round-robin matches in the green group.

Of the four times they have met, only once was Sinner able to beat the 24-time major champion. That win came this week in the round robin, ending a winning streak that began after losing the Wimbledon final.
