Sinner and Rublev have faced one another five times in the past. Sinner holds a 3-2 lead with a victory this season on the hard-court surface from Indian Wells. One interesting note in their series is that both of Rublev’s victories have come via retirement. Bettors should be taking Sinner at -200 (bet365). He has been one of the more successful players this season in the late rounds. He has three titles and two runner-up finishes in 2023 ATP tournaments.
Rublev has his share of deep runs this season. But it seems that whenever he makes a final, it’s at the expense of a low-ranked player in the semifinals. He is actually 6-0 in the semifinal round this season but he has drawn some low-ranked players for that stage of the respective tournaments. Even in the Shanghai Masters, Rublev’s semifinal victory was just against Grigor Dimitrov, the World No. 19 at the time. Look for the Russian to play tough but to fall to the World No. 4.
