SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Siouxland District Health Department (SDHD), along with other local healthcare providers, is seeking insight into the health needs of Siouxlanders.
SDHD, MercyOne, and UnityPoint Health have joined forces to launch a Community Health Assessment for 2024.
The assessment aims to gather insights into the healthcare needs and priorities of Siouxlanders.
One part of the assessment is a survey aimed at helping the organizations better understand the health concerns, experiences, and goals of Siouxlanders. This will allow healthcare organizations to tailor their services to address the issues of Siouxland community members.
“Topics covered in the survey include access to care, community health strengths and barriers, social determination of health and more,” the release from SDHD said.
The results of the survey will be analyzed and be made into a CHA Report that will be made later this year. The report will help build a roadmap for health initiatives and form a plan to help improve health.
“We encourage everyone in Siouxland to participate in the survey and share their perspectives,” said Siouxland District Health Director of Health and Promotion and Population Health, Michelle Lewis. “Your input is invaluable in helping us create a healthier and more vibrant community for all.”
