For the Jourdanton 1909 Association, this event is one that is near and dear to all of their hearts, added Chicoine. While the positive feedback they receive from the community and vendors means so much, the encouragement they receive from those who did the work years before at city events is especially touching.
“We want to honor what they did,” Chicoine said. “When we get the nod from them, we really feel like we achieved something.”
