Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello’s Divorce Is ‘More Advanced’

Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello didn’t tell people about their breakup until much later than you might think.

Frederic J. Siegel, a well-known divorce lawyer who isn’t working for either side, told Page Six how the assets will be split during the process.

Siegel says that the split between the 51-year-old Modern Family star and the 46-year-old True Blood star “doesn’t look like it’s messy.”

Siegel told the outlet that the contract the two signed “probably had what is called a walkaway,” which is another name for a prenuptial deal.

“She keeps what she has and what she earns, and he keeps what he has and what he’s earned,” he said. “So, with a prenup — and without kids [together] — it becomes a much simpler case.”

In an interview with Howard Stern in 2015, the Hot Pursuit star said that they were going to sign a prenup.

“He said, ‘Do whatever you want. I’ll sign whatever you want,’” she told the 46-year-old star of “Magic Mike,” whom she married in November of that year.

Before they got married, they moved into a $10.6 million, 11,000-square-foot, seven-bedroom home in Beverly Hills.

TMZ says that the ex-couple spent millions fixing up the house over the years and was also building a bigger and better house in the same area.

But last year, they put the house on the market for a whopping $19.6 million. They put it back on the market, and the price went down to just under $18 million.

Sigel says that the couple is probably “further along in their divorce than people think” because celebrities usually announce that they are splitting up after they have “done some of the preliminary work.”
