Sofia Vergara Divorced Joe Manganiello After Discovering She Couldn’t Have Another Child

Sofia Vergara is said to have left her husband Joe Manganiello after they tried several times to get pregnant but failed.

The America’s Got Talent judge, who is 51 years old, already has a boy with her ex-husband, Joe Gonzalez. However, she wanted to have more children with Manganiello, who is 46.

The publication said the pair had been married for seven years but couldn’t have children because they were too old. This led to their divorce.

“Sofía really wanted to share a child with Joe, but they both have come to the conclusion that they’re too old,” a source told the magazine.

The source also said that Vergara and Manganiello decided not to use In vitro fertilization (IVF) because the actor had a bad experience with it when she was with her ex-boyfriend Nick Loeb.

In 2013, the Colombian and American star and Loeb went through IVF treatments, and two of their embryos were frozen. However, when they broke up a year later, things got bad.

Loeb took the problem to court because he wanted to keep the embryos, but the jury decided in Vergara’s favor. Even though she won the fight, the person who knew her said the whole thing was very scary.

“The entire process took a lot out of Sofía,” a person in the know said. “She didn’t want Nick to raise children that were biologically half hers.”

After being together for almost nine years, the two people chose to break up, which shocked their fans. They told Page Six about it.

In a statement they made together, they said, “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
