Sofia Vergara, Joe Manganiello ‘Tried to Resolve Things’ Before ‘Difficult’ Separation

Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello had been married for seven years before they shocked everyone by announcing that they were getting a divorce.

Monday, July 17, 2023, the couple told Page Six about their “difficult decision” to split up and asked for privacy during this hard time.

People Magazine quoted a person close to Vergara, 51, as saying that their “passionate, all-encompassing romance,” which kept the fire burning for a long time, was starting to grow apart.

The source said, “They tried to resolve things but are focused on different areas of their lives. They definitely love and respect each other but once that initial passion dies down and other areas get in the way, then little differences get bigger.”

Another person told the same outlet that they had never seen two people so in love, adding that they had never seen people “so passionate and so happy.”

“Laughing, in love, and really happy,” said the source about the couple. Above their heads, there was a beautiful glow. Both of them are real people who live in the real world.

Sad to say, they had different ideas about how their lives should go, which led to stress and, in the end, a split.

The 46-year-old actor from True Blood met Vergara for the first time in 2014 at a White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.

The couple fell in love quickly. By the end of that year, they were engaged, and in November 2015, they were married.
