The stars of Modern Family got together at Sofia Vergara’s house for a small family get-together.

In real life, Julie Bowen, who plays the family matriarch on the show, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who plays Bowen’s character’s brother, and his husband, Justin Mikita, joined the family gathering.

On the show, Vergara plays the other matriarchal figure. On Tuesday, she posted pictures from the small party she held at her house on Instagram.

“Afternoon with some of my favourite people in the world! I luv u,” she wrote under a picture of a group selfie taken in Vergara’s living room at night, showing Bowen holding her on-screen brother’s shoulder while they both lean into his husband.

After the night was over, the Colombian-American actress shared more behind-the-scenes photos. One of them showed Bowen and Ferguson being amazed as they stood in Vergara’s huge walk-in closet.

She wrote in the carousel post’s description, “come back soooon!!!!! [three star emojis] I missed uuu.”

The 53-year-old Bowen said in the comments that the closet was “her happy place,” and the 48-year-old Ferguson joked, “For once, I enjoyed being back in the closet.”

The cast members who couldn’t make it also showed their love in the comments. For example, Bowen’s daughter on the show, Sarah Hyland, posted a lot of heart eyes.

Two fans of the show were very happy: one wrote “FAMILY REUNION” and the other said, “Name a more iconic crew.”
