Sophie Tuner Is Outraged by Ozempic’s New York City Weight-Loss Ads

Sophie Tuner won’t put up with bad ideas about body image.

Page Six says that the former Game of Thrones actor was furious that Ozempic ads for weight loss are all over New York City subway stations.

Late on Monday, April 3, 2023, the 27-year-old actress re-posted an Instagram story with pictures of the ads and the words “The Olympic ads plastered all over the Times Square subway station can f–k all the way off.”

Turner wrote “WTF” on top of the post on her Instagram Story.

Ozempic is a medicine that was mostly made for people with Type II diabetes. But now, many Hollywood stars, like Chelsea Handler and Jennifer Fessler, use the drug to help them lose weight quickly.

The actress from “Do Revenge” seemed to cash in on a weight-loss trend with her ad, which said, “A shot weekly to lose weight.”

Turner had problems with her eating when she was a teenager. The actress from “Staircase” first talked about her problems in 2019, which led to serious health problems and made her feel like killing herself.

In a May 2022 interview with Elle, she told the truth about how she was treating the disorder. She told the outlet that she needed a live-in therapist to “make sure I wasn’t eating in a way that was bad for me.”

“I still have days when I feel depressed or anxious,” Turner said. “It’s manageable now — I have the tools. I know what’s good for me and what’s not good for me. I know what I have to do to get myself in a good headspace.”
