KINGSTON — A picture is worth a thousand words. While every smartphone user has a camera in their back pocket at all times, it takes a skilled artist to transform a picture into a breathtaking visual memory. In South County Art Association’s Open Juried Photography Annual exhibition, which opened last week and runs through April 5, photographers are given the spotlight to display their latest work. 

Jason Fong, South County Art Association exhibitions director, said the photography-only exhibition is a dedicated time and place to allow photographers to shine without being compared to other vastly different 2-D mediums.
