MERIDEN — Before the start of the CIAC state playoffs, the Southington Blue Knights softball team won their fourth-straight Central Connecticut Conference Tournament with a dominant 7-0 shutout over the Middletown Blue Dragons. 

With the tournament win, Southington has now won all four CCC softball tournaments since it started four years ago. Prior to that, the team won all 12 CCC West tournaments under head coach Davina Hernandez.
