Spencer, IA (KICD)– The Spencer City Council gave the green light last week to move forward with naming a set of new tennis courts near Spencer Middle School.

Mayor Steve Bomgaars reiterated some of the reasons why Dennis Price is the right choice based on his success in the tennis programs.

Parks and Recreation Director Bob Fullhart added that an agreement for signage on the shared courts between the city and schools has been reached.

The unanimous vote by the city council to approve the naming is only the first step in getting the process complete with the final approval needed from the school board.
