This weekend, Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) will present the return of the Spring Fine Arts Showcase. This large exhibition offers a unique opportunity to view and buy over 400 works made by SCAD Atlanta students, faculty, and alumni.

Sales are facilitated through SCAD Art Sales, the university’s in-house art consultancy. SCAD is the only university to offer exclusive representation to students, alumni, and faculty to international buyers.

“The Spring Fine Arts Showcase is an exciting opportunity for the Atlanta art community and visitors to immerse themselves in the extraordinary talents of SCAD students,” said Dale Clifford, Dean of Academics.

“From painting and photography to printmaking and sculpture, guests can experience the creative process up close and connect directly with the student artists as they share the inspiration behind their work. We’re excited to welcome you to this inspiring event and can’t wait to celebrate SCAD’s creative community with you at the Fine Arts Showcase.”

SCAD is a private, nonprofit, accredited university with locations in Atlanta, Savannah, and Lacoste, France. They now also offer online courses through SCADnow.

Students at SCAD pursue degrees in painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, interior design, film, fashion, architecture, illustration, digital media, and more. They boast more degree programs and specializations than any other art and design university, and bring in artists regularly to provide workshops, panel discussions, and guidance through classes and critiques.

The vast majority of graduates from SCAD go on to pursue careers in the arts, with SCAD students’ works on display now at institutions including the Guggenheim, Museum of Modern Art, and the Smithsonian, just to name a few.

In 2023, a study concluded that an incredible 99% of SCAD graduates were employed, pursuing further education, or a combination of both within 12 months of graduation.

SCAD supports students beyond the classroom through internships, professional certifications, real-world assignments with corporate partners, programs such as SCADpro and SCAD SERVE, and exhibitions such as SCAD Style that offer real-world exhibition experience for fine artists.

The Spring Fine Arts Showcase offers a wonderful opportunity for SCAD students to showcase and sell their work, and for collectors to view original works by the next generation of emerging artists.
