SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS) — The Springfield Art Association featured exhibit is ART is Exceptional, which is a unique collection of artwork that helps to highlight the scope of District 186’s visual arts program.
There will be a public reception on Wednesday, November 15th from 6 p.m-7:30 p.m. at Springfield Art Association (SAA) M.G. Nelson Gallery located at 700 North 4th Street in Springfield.
This exhibit is a collection of over 130 two-dimensional artworks from many District 186 schools, including:
- Dubois Elementary
- Butler
- Laketown
- Harvard Park Elementary
- Matheny-Withrow
- Fairview
- Elementary
- Enos
- Graham
- Lee School
- Owen Marsh
- Franklin Middle School
A curatorial talk presented by District 186 Visual Arts Educator Elizabeth Marcy will take place in the gallery at 7 p.m.
