SRICD and Rep. Cotter host free coffee hour on conservation issues


RICHMOND — The Southern Rhode Island Conservation District and Rep. Megan Cotter, District 39 (Exeter, Hopkinton and Richmond), will host a public information and listening session on key environmental and conservation issues including forest fires and flooding. The session will be held on Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Higher Grounds Community Coffee House, 39 Kingstown Road, Wyoming.

Staff from the Natural Resources Conservation Services and the Southern Rhode Island Conservation District will present information and answer questions on local conservation topics including forest fires, flooding, pollinator habitats, “People’s Gardens” and small-scale agricultural practices.
