Sridevi, born on August 13, 1963, was originally named Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan. Director Harmesh Malhotra produced the film “Nagina” in 1986, where Sridevi donned special lenses for her role as an ichhadhari naagin, causing prolonged eye strain. After seeking medical advice, she prayed at the Neelkanth Temple in Rishikesh. Sridevi, known for her acting prowess in iconic films like “Sadma” and “Chandni,” also pursued painting as a hobby. Her daughters, Janhvi and Khushi, are making their mark in the film industry. Despite personal tragedy, Sridevi continued filming “Lamhe” in 1991, receiving accolades for her performance.
