AVON – Students in grades PreK3 through sixth grade at St. Agnes School in Avon donated more than 200 non-perishable food items to the Avon Food Pantry for Thanksgiving.
“Our students complete at least 10 different service projects each school year. For November, our students bring in non-perishable food items and draw Thanksgiving cards to share with the Avon community,” said Principal Elizabeth Dowd. “Thanksgiving is all about gratitude. We hope to teach our students to be grateful for what they have and also to share with others that may be in need.”
