The 2023-24 Emporia Arts Council Performing Arts Series is kicking off Saturday night with a classic rock band.

Stairway to Zeppelin is quickly becoming the number one Led Zeppelin tribute band in the country and they will be taking to the Emporia Granada Stage as the first act in a great lineup of performers for this year’s series. EAC Director Dawn Young says they are a talented group of musicians whose resume is just as impressive as their sound.

Young says Stairway to Zeppelin will be a great kickoff for this year’s series and will definitely take a lot of residents back in time.

Stairway to Zeppelin will take the stage at 7 pm Saturday. Tickets are on sale and cost $25 for adults and $12.50 for youth.

The 2023-24 Performing Arts Series will also include a Holiday Jazz concert by Tallgrass Productions, Anne Frank: Words From the Shadows performed by Imperfect Dancers Company, Janet’s Planet, the DooWop Project and the Electric Light Orchestra.
