Stanford Issues Apology to Trump-Appointed Judge for Speech Interference

The University of Stanford has delivered a letter of apology to a federal appeals judge chosen by President Trump whose presentation on campus was disrupted by students and an administrator. The college president and the law school dean wrote to Judge Kyle Duncan, “We deeply apologize for the terrible experience you had on our campus, which was inconsistent with our guidelines regarding free expression.” Furthermore, staff members in charge of enforcing university policies should have done so and instead intervened in ways that contradicted the university’s commitment to free expression.
