
ROCKY HILL, CT (WFSB) – I-91 south in Rocky Hill has reopened after a fatal car crash sent multiple people to the hospital on Saturday night.
Rocky Hill Fire Department responded to a multiple-vehicle crash with reported injuries at 11:52p.m. on I-95 south near Exit 22S in Rocky Hill on Saturday.
Connecticut State Police, Rocky Hill EMS, Rocky Hill Police, and the Connecticut Department of Transportation responded to the scene.
“Upon arrival, a two-car accident was found with one vehicle involved in the right lane and a second vehicle involved over the embankment through a guardrail on the left side of the highway,” said Chief Michael Garrahy.
There were multiple people transported to the hospital with injuries and the state police reported a fatality.
I-91 sound near Exit 22S has reopened around 6a.m. on Sunday morning.
The incident remains under investigation.
