Stellantis has canceled plans for this year’s LA Auto Show and the Specialty Equipment Market Association trade show known as SEMA set to begin later this month in Las Vegas, marking the latest impact the company is attributing to the UAW strike.
The company, which owns the Jeep, Ram, Chrysler, Dodge and Fiat brands, had already canceled plans for the massive CES technology expo, also set for Las Vegas, in January.
In a news release Friday, the company said that “as the costs of the ongoing UAW strike continue to mount, Stellantis has decided to cancel its planned display and all other presentations” at the events “as part of its contingency plan.”
The UAW strike targeting specific Stellantis, Ford Motor Co. and General Motors facilities began more than a month ago.
