Stockton runs to benefit food bank on Thanksgiving Day


A morning run may help burn some extra calories ahead of Thanksgiving dinner, but for people in Stockton, it was also a way to help others.Thousands of residents grabbed their children and strollers, tied their sneakers up and began their 5K to 10K Run & Walk Against Hunger journey at the starting line by the Adventist Health Arena. Participants were able to help by bringing in non-perishable items. The emergency food bank said this tradition sees more and more participants every year and hopes to keep that going. “Oh, it’s a blast. We’ll have to do this all the time,” Calderon said.
