BCM School, Basant City, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, organised an enlightening session on nutrition for a healthy life. Renowned dietician Dr Upma Ralhan conducted the session for the students of classes VIII and IX.
Dr Ralhan emphasised the significance of nutrition in physical and mental well-being. She shared practical tips on making informed dietary choices, highlighting that a good diet itself acted as a supplement. Dr Ralhan also stressed the importance of proper sleep patterns, explaining that growth hormones were most active between 10.00 pm and 2.00 am.
The session also covered the impact of poor nutrition on cellular ageing. Dr Ralhan inspired students to eat well by emphasising that good nutrition was the best medicine. Students actively participated in discussions, shared experiences, and asked questions. Principal Nidhi Jain thanked Dr Ralhan for her valuable insights.
